The Golf Club

The Muirfield Club at Newcastle offers golfers the chance to be part of an active social golf club at the area's premier golf venue. Membership includes the opportunity to play in weekly and monthly golf events, as well as a variety of social functions. The Muirfield Club is perfect for golfers that wish to meet new golfing buddies, compete in a relaxed tournament atmosphere, and enjoy a vibrant club experience.

  • COURSE LAYOUT

    This is a ten-hole course with one par 5, two par 3's & the remainder par 4's. Each hole has 5 sets of tees to cater to the varying ability of each golfer. Greens are large with an approximate size of about 650 sq meters each permitting many hole locations for challenging play.

  • GOLF LESSONS

    The club has a dedicated teaching staff and coaching programmes designed for all age groups across all playing abilities. The club provides lessons for all playing abilities and more particularly special golf induction programmes have also been designed for beginners.

      • 1 hour - Rs. 500/-
      • 1 Month (1/2 hour per day) (except Sunday) - Rs. 5000/-

      • 1 Month (1/2 hour per day) (except Sunday) - Rs. 8000/-

  • HANDICAP

    Handicap are awarded by the Golf Committee on the basis of score cards submitted and tournament scores. Handicap are reviewed regularly to ensure a level playing field.

    Beginners are awarded a handicap of 36. Children begin with a handicap of 48 / 42 / 36 depending on their age.

    To ensure that your handicap are reviewed regularly, please submit a correctly filled scorecard & drop it in the scorecard box at the club verandah.

  • Jr. GOLF

    In an effort to promote junior golf, the club has regular tournaments and also conducts specialized coaching. Children as young as 6-7yrs can start golf. The club is equipped with sets and has special coaching induction programmes for children. Please get in touch with Jessy for more details.

    Our Club does not have a dedicated golf cart path. However the club has two carts, which can be rented
